Massages

Thai

Stretching and pressure, done through clothing, with elbows and forearms where it’s needed. It’s the one people book for stiffness and for aches that keep coming back.

Swedish, and the combination

Swedish is oil, long strokes and lighter pressure. The combination is half Thai and half Swedish, which is what to ask for if you can’t decide.

Deep tissue and sports

Slower and firmer, for a specific knot or a muscle that isn’t letting go. Tell us the spot when you book and that’s where the hour goes.

We also do pregnancy massage, and hot stone can be added to any of them.

What our clients say

★★★★★

“I love this place. It is not fancy, but clean and they do a wonderful job. Each time I go and I wonder why I don’t go more often. The prices are reasonable and the thai massage is the bomb.”

Loretta K., Pasadena

★★★★★

“I get an hour of deep tissue and request special attention to certain issue areas. Malaika understands, is highly professional, respectful and strong. The nook is clean and peaceful and they play really nice music.”

Allison M., Los Angeles

★★★★★

“I have neck and shoulder pain from sleeping on my side and history of car accident. Her elbow hit a lot of much needed crevasses. She was so well into her attention for detail.”

Kim H., Alhambra

★★★★★

“Best massage I’ve had in a long time. Clean. Hadn’t been to this place since before pandemic. I’ll be back again soon.”

Matt C., Los Angeles

About us

We’ve been in this little pink building on Colorado Boulevard for more than twenty years, doing the same thing the whole time. Our therapists are certified, and most of our clients come back for the same person once they’ve found the one whose pressure suits them.

It’s a small shop, not a spa. What you get is the hour, a quiet room, and somebody who knows how to find the thing that’s bothering you.

Questions we get

Do I need an appointment?

Call ahead if you can and we’ll hold a time. We take walk-ins when a therapist is free, and the last appointment of the day starts at 7:45.

Where do I park?

We have an arrangement with the hotel next door, so you can park there and walk over. There’s metered parking on Colorado Boulevard as well.

How hard is the pressure?

As hard or as light as you want. Tell your therapist at the start, and tell them again during if it’s too much. Thai and deep tissue are the firm ones.

Can I ask for a particular therapist?

Yes, and a lot of people do. Give us the name when you call and we’ll tell you when they’re in.

What should I wear?

For Thai massage you stay dressed, so wear something loose you can stretch in. Swedish and deep tissue use oil and you’ll be covered with a sheet.

Do you take cards?

Yes, credit cards and Apple Pay.

Tell us what hurts.

Call and we’ll find you a time today if we have one.
